What is the MP-25?

The MP-25 combines a 25 tonne maximum working load with 3m and 6m modular beam sections, allowing standard arrangements up to 12m. It can be configured for Centre Point, Spreader and Semi-Spreader lifts, with allowable capacity determined by the selected span and lifting geometry.

Centre Point Lift Configuration

Centre Point Lift Configuration

In centre point configuration, the MP-25 is used as either a 3m or 6m beam and lifted from a single central top lifting point.

Multiple lower lifting lugs allow for even load distribution across the beam. The MP-25 maintains its 25 tonne WLL in centre point configuration within approved span parameters.

Spreader Beam Configuration

In spreader configuration, angled top slings connect to designated top lifting points to match the required bottom span. This setup allows loads to be lifted from two primary points, improving stability and reducing bending forces compared to single-point lifting arrangements.

The spreader configuration is commonly used for two-point structural lifts, modular assemblies, skid frames and fabricated steel components. For spreader and semi-spreader configurations, header sling angles must not exceed 30° STV.

The semi-spreader configuration provides enhanced flexibility where lifting geometry or space constraints prevent a traditional spreader arrangement.

  • Angled top slings connect to offset lifting points
  • Loads can be lifted from opposing ends or multiple positions
  • Headroom can be optimised in restricted environments

This makes the MP-25 particularly effective for asymmetrical loads or complex rigging arrangements where flexible multi-point support is required.

No. Full Working Load Limit is available in the standard shorter-span arrangements, but allowable capacity reduces in some extended Spreader and Semi-Spreader configurations. Use the load charts above to check the required lifting geometry.

How do I select the correct configuration?
