Built For Loads That Change From Project To Project

The Multisec Adjustable H-Frame is an adjustable lifting frame designed for heavy lifting applications where load sizes, lifting centres and project requirements vary between lifts.

Unlike a fixed lifting frame built around a single load geometry, the Adjustable H-Frame can be configured in both length and width to suit fabricated structures, equipment skids, machinery, precast concrete units and other irregular loads.

Available in Working Load Limits from 3 tonnes to 15 tonnes, with adjustable main beam lengths from 1.5m to 6m and transverse beam adjustment from 1m to 4m.

Adjustable Lifting Geometry

Length and width adjustment allows the frame to suit different load sizes and lifting centres without requiring multiple fixed lifting frames.

02

Stable Load Handling

The H-Frame arrangement provides enhanced stability when handling wider, longer or irregular loads where a conventional lifting beam may not be suitable.

Common Applications

One Adjustable Frame.
Multiple Lifting Challenges.

Adjustable H-Frames are selected where load dimensions, lifting centres or project requirements vary between lifts. The configurable design helps maintain stability, load control and lifting performance across demanding site conditions.

Multisec Adjustable H-Frame used during a lifting application

Adjustable H-Frames are commonly used where fixed lifting frames are too limiting or where a single lifting arrangement needs to work across multiple load types.

This makes them particularly suited to fabrication yards, infrastructure projects, machinery installations and environments where dedicated fixed lifting frames would otherwise be required for different load geometries.

Fabricated Structures Plant & Machinery Tanks & Vessels Precast Concrete Modular Assemblies Restricted Headroom Lifts Process Equipment Infrastructure Components Skid Mounted Systems
Reduce the need for multiple dedicated lifting frames.

By adjusting the frame to suit the load, operators can improve equipment utilisation across multiple projects while maintaining safe and controlled lifting operations.

Why Adjustable?

Why Choose An
Adjustable
H-Frame ?

Fixed lifting frames are often designed around one specific load, one set of lifting centres and one lifting arrangement. Adjustable H-Frames provide a more flexible solution for operators handling different load sizes, project requirements and site conditions.

Fixed Frame

  • Designed for one lifting arrangement
  • Limited flexibility when load dimensions change
  • May require multiple dedicated frames
  • Increased storage and handling requirements
  • Less adaptable across different projects

Adjustable H-Frame

  • Configurable for multiple lifting scenarios
  • Adjustable main beam and transverse beam positions
  • One frame can support a wider range of loads
  • Helps reduce equipment inventory and storage demands
  • Better suited to changing project requirements
Better utilisation from a single lifting frame.

For projects involving varying load geometries, an Adjustable H-Frame can reduce reliance on multiple fixed frames while maintaining controlled, stable lifting performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Adjustable H-Frame FAQs

Answers to common questions about Adjustable H-Frame capacities, configurations, applications and compliance.

What is an Adjustable H-Frame?

An Adjustable H-Frame is a lifting frame designed to accommodate varying load dimensions through adjustable beam configurations. Unlike fixed lifting frames, it can be reconfigured to suit different load widths and lengths, reducing the need for multiple dedicated lifting frames.

What capacities are available?

The Multisec Adjustable H-Frame range is available with Working Load Limits of 3, 5, 10 and 15 tonnes. Each frame is designed to provide a versatile lifting solution across a wide range of industrial applications.

What adjustment range is available?

The Adjustable H-Frame can be configured to widths ranging from 1 metre to 4 metres and lengths from 3 metres to 6 metres, depending on the model selected.

What is meant by low-headroom lifting?

Low-headroom lifting refers to applications where available hook height is limited. The Adjustable H-Frame is designed to maximise available lifting height while maintaining load stability and lifting performance.

What industries use Adjustable H-Frames?

Adjustable H-Frames are commonly used in industrial maintenance, structural steel installation, machinery handling, marine projects, infrastructure works and general heavy lifting applications where load dimensions vary between lifts.

Can Adjustable H-Frames be customised?

Yes. Multisec can review bespoke requirements including alternative dimensions, lifting arrangements and application-specific designs where standard configurations are not suitable.

What are the advantages of an Adjustable H-Frame compared to a fixed frame?

An Adjustable H-Frame provides greater flexibility by allowing a single frame to be configured for multiple lifting scenarios. This can reduce equipment inventory, improve utilisation and provide a more cost-effective lifting solution.

Are Adjustable H-Frames manufactured to recognised standards?

Yes. Multisec Adjustable H-Frames are manufactured in the United Kingdom to BS EN 13155 and are supplied with the relevant certification and documentation.

Can Adjustable H-Frames be used offshore?

Adjustable H-Frames may be suitable for offshore and marine lifting applications depending on the specific project requirements. Our engineering team can advise on suitable configurations and compliance requirements.

How do I select the correct Adjustable H-Frame?

Selection depends on factors including load weight, load dimensions, lifting points, available headroom and the intended lifting arrangement. Contact our engineering team for guidance on the most suitable configuration for your application.
