MP-13 Multi-Point Lifting Beam

13 Tonne Modular Multi-Point (Multi-Lug) Lifting System

The MP-13 is the most compact multi-point lifting beam in the Multisec range, designed for controlled lifting where multiple pick points and flexible configurations are required.

Ideal for workshop lifting, fabrication environments, and smaller structural lifts, it provides precise load distribution while maintaining full 13 tonne capacity across shorter spans.

How Multi-Point Lifting Works

Unlike traditional lifting beams that rely on a single connection point, the MP-13 uses multiple lifting lugs along the beam to distribute load more evenly.

This allows loads to be supported at several pick points, reducing bending forces, improving stability, and giving greater control when lifting long, flexible, or uneven components.

The result is a safer and more controlled lift, particularly in environments where precision and stability are critical.

MP-13 Lifting Configurations

The MP-13 can be configured in three primary ways depending on the lifting requirement:

Centre Point Lift Configuration

In centre point configuration, the MP-13 is used as a single beam (3m or 6m) with a central top lifting point. This is the most compact setup and is ideal where headroom is limited.

This configuration is ideal for:

  • Compact vertical lifts

  • Restricted headroom environments

  • Workshop or fabrication lifts

  • Symmetrical load handling

Multiple lower lifting lugs allow for even load distribution across the beam.

The MP-13 maintains its 13 tonne WLL in centre point configuration within approved span parameters.

In spreader configuration, angled top slings connect to designated top lifting points to match the required bottom span.

Available span arrangements include:

  • 3m

  • 6m

  • 3m + 6m (up to 9m span)

  • 3m + 6m + 3m (up to 12m span)

This configuration is suited to:

  • Two-point structural lifts

  • Modular assemblies

  • Skid frames

  • Fabricated steel components

The spreader configuration improves load stability and reduces bending stress compared to simple lifting beam arrangements.

For spreader and semi-spreader configurations, header sling angles must not exceed 30° STV.

The semi-spreader configuration provides enhanced flexibility where lifting geometry or space constraints prevent a traditional spreader arrangement.

In this setup:

  • Angled top slings connect to offset lifting points

  • Loads can be lifted from opposing ends or multiple positions

  • Headroom can be optimised in restricted environments

This makes the MP-13 particularly effective for asymmetrical loads or complex rigging arrangements.

Capacity & Configuration Overview

The MP-13 is optimised for shorter-span lifting, maintaining full working load capacity in compact configurations while offering extended reach through modular combinations.

As the beam length increases, working load limits reduce in line with span and configuration.

Single Beam (3m / 6m): up to 13 tonnes
Two Beam (3m + 6m / 9m span): up to 13 tonnes, reducing to 7 tonnes
Three Beam (3m + 6m + 3m / 12m span): up to 13 tonnes, reducing to 3 tonnes

This makes the MP-13 well suited to applications where full capacity is required over shorter spans, while still allowing longer configurations where reach is prioritised over maximum load.

Span & Load Capability

The tables below show the MP-13 working load limits (WLL) based on span and configuration. Use these charts to determine the allowable load for your specific lifting arrangement. For Spreader & Semi-Spreader configurations, header slings must not exceed 30° STV
