Multisec Purchasing Guidance
What To Send For A Quote
Prepare a lifting beam, spreader beam or frame enquiry with the load, dimensions, lifting points, headroom and project information available.
By Multisec · Purchasing and engineering guidance

Start with the details you know. Share the load, lifting-point geometry, available headroom, required date and any drawings; identify anything that still needs confirmation.
Start With What You Know
You do not need a finished equipment specification to start a conversation. Describe the load, where the lift will take place and the information already available. Mark estimates and unknowns clearly so they can be checked before equipment is selected.
A quotation enquiry starts the review. It is not confirmation that a beam or lifting arrangement is suitable for use.
Your Quotation Checklist
| Information | What to provide |
|---|---|
| Load | Known weight, whether it is measured or estimated, and any centre-of-gravity information. |
| Dimensions | Load dimensions and distances between the intended lifting points. State the units. |
| Connections | Number and location of lifting points, connection details and any proposed slings or shackles. |
| Headroom | Available hook-to-load height and any height restrictions. |
| Environment | Site location, indoor or outdoor use, and any marine or offshore requirements. |
| Programme | Required date, delivery location and whether the equipment is for a single project or repeated use. |
| Documents | Drawings, lift plans and the client specification, where available. |
Standard Or Bespoke?
For a modular spreader beam, the team needs enough information to check the required span and loading against the approved configuration data. A model name alone does not establish the allowable capacity for every arrangement.
For a lifting beam or frame, describe the lifting-point geometry and headroom as well as the load. Where the standard range does not fit, Multisec can review a bespoke solution.
Make Drawings Easy To Review
Use the latest drawing revision and mark the proposed lifting points. Include the drawing units, known load weight and relevant dimensions. If information is provisional, say so in the enquiry.
The quote form accepts PDF, JPG, PNG and WebP files up to 10 MB. For another format or a larger file, contact sales@multisec.com to agree how to share it.
Before ordering, confirm the recommended equipment, agreed configuration, documentation, delivery arrangements and any information still required.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common Questions
Can I enquire before all the details are confirmed?
Yes. Send the information you have and identify estimates or unknowns. Final equipment selection requires the relevant information to be checked.
Does a quotation approve my lift?
No. A quotation sets out a proposed supply scope. Equipment suitability and the lifting operation still require the appropriate technical review.
