MULTISEC ENGINEERING CAPABILITY

FROM STANDARD SYSTEMS
TO 2,000 TONNE
BESPOKE HEAVY LIFT

Multisec designs and manufactures engineered lifting systems in Middlesbrough, UK. From DNV Type Approved modular equipment to project-specific heavy-lift systems, each solution is developed around the load, lifting geometry, operating environment and applicable certification requirements.

PUBLISHED PROJECT EVIDENCE

CAPABILITY YOU CAN POINT TO.

Multisec capability is evidenced by delivered equipment, certified projects and standard product ranges rather than unsupported maximum-capacity claims.

FROM REQUIREMENT TO DELIVERY

ENGINEERING BEHIND THE LIFT.

A lifting system is selected or developed around the actual project. The route changes with the load, geometry, lifting points, headroom, environment and certification requirements.

01

Understand the lift

Load weight, centre of gravity, lifting points, span, headroom, crane arrangement, site conditions and project constraints.

02

Engineering & analysis

Design review, calculations and project-specific engineering appropriate to the lifting arrangement and applicable requirements.

03

UK manufacture

Standard and bespoke Multisec systems are manufactured in Middlesbrough with controlled fabrication and material traceability.

04

Testing

Proof load testing can be completed at Britannia Testhouse where required by the product or project route.

05

Certification

DNV Type Approval applies to the Multi-13 to Multi-250 modular range. Bespoke equipment follows the certification route required by the project.

06

Project delivery

Technical documentation, certification and engineering support are coordinated around the equipment being supplied and the requirements of the lift.

COMMON QUESTIONS

ENGINEERING CAPABILITY FAQS

What lifting equipment does Multisec engineer and manufacture?

Multisec designs and manufactures standard and bespoke lifting systems including modular spreader beams, modular spreader frames, Multi-Point lifting beams, adjustable H-Frames, bespoke lifting and spreader beams, Tri-Plates and project-specific lifting equipment.

What is the largest lifting capacity Multisec has delivered?

Multisec has delivered a bespoke 2,000 tonne Working Load Limit spreader beam with an 18.5 metre span, designed, manufactured, proof load tested and DNV Product Certified for the project.

Does Multisec manufacture lifting equipment in the UK?

Yes. Multisec lifting systems are engineered and manufactured in Middlesbrough, United Kingdom, with project support covering standard products and bespoke lifting requirements.

Are Multisec spreader beams DNV Type Approved?

The Multi-13 to Multi-250 modular spreader beam range holds DNV Type Approval to DNV-ST-0378. Bespoke equipment follows the certification route required by the individual project and can include DNV Product Certification where applicable.

Can Multisec support proof load testing and project documentation?

Yes. Testing, certification and supporting technical documentation can be supplied to the applicable product or project requirements. Major bespoke Multisec lifting systems have been proof load tested at Britannia Testhouse before delivery.

Who handles hire of Multisec lifting equipment?

Hire enquiries for suitable Multisec equipment are handled separately through Durham Lifting. Multisec customer-facing product and engineering pages focus on purchase, technical selection and bespoke project requirements.
