Multisec and Durham Lifting Celebrate Launch of the World’s Largest C-Hook
Durham Lifting and Multisec Engineered Lifting Systems proudly welcomed guests to a special ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the official launch of the world’s largest C-Hook, designed and built for SeAH Wind.
The event took place at Durham Lifting’s headquarters in Middlesbrough and represented a major milestone for both companies — showcasing the innovation, engineering expertise, and technical precision behind one of the most ambitious lifting projects ever undertaken.
The bespoke C-Hook was developed to meet SeAH Wind’s exacting specifications for offshore wind monopile handling, combining exceptional strength, safety, and performance. The project demonstrates Durham Lifting and Multisec’s ongoing commitment to supporting the renewable energy sector through cutting-edge lifting solutions.
“The 28th of July was a proud moment for our entire team — a chance to showcase the innovation, engineering expertise, and dedication that went into delivering such a significant project,” said Amanda Gardiner, Managing Director at Multisec. “We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved and the positive impact it will have on future offshore wind operations.”
The ceremony brought together colleagues, clients, and partners from across the lifting and renewables industries. Attendees were able to see the C-Hook up close and meet the team behind its design, manufacture, and testing.
Durham Lifting and Multisec would like to extend their thanks to everyone who joined them for the celebration. Your support helped make the event truly memorable and marked an exciting new chapter in the companies’ shared mission: to engineer lifting solutions that push boundaries and make a global impact.
